Glossier Founder Departs from Allbirds Board

Emily Weiss will not seek reelection at the company's upcoming annual stockholders meeting on June 9.

Glossier founder Emily Weiss is set to depart from her position on the Allbirds board, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
 
Weiss will not seek reelection at the footwear and apparal company’s upcoming annual stockholders meeting on June 9th. Her exit from the board will be effective as of that date.
 
Allbirds stated that Weiss’s departure is “not due to any disagreement on any matter relating to the company’s operations, policies or practices.” Weiss currently serves as a member of Allbirds’ sustainability, nomination and governance committee.
 
She joined the Allbirds board in October 2020.

Weiss stepped down from her role as CEO at Glossier in 2022.
 
Kyle Leahy, who joined Glossier as its first chief commercial officer in 2021, stepped up and succeeded Weiss as CEO of the company.
